Least Favorite Place: Breathtaking in more than one sense, the road between Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang where we all added a little decoration to the side of the road

Places to Visit Next Time: 4,000 Islands

Number of Buses: 4

Number of Tuk-tuks: 11

Number of Boats: 1

Number of Tubes: 2

Best Food:  Jeows at Tamarind Restaurant in Luang Prabang or the fancy Philly Cheesesteaks at Ray’s in Vientianne

Worst Food:  Green papaya salad at the market in Luang Prabang…too many real fish heads in the fish sauce

Most Popular Saying: “Best price…lucky for you, lucky for me!”

Number of Illnesses: 2 Giardias with complimentary rapid weight loss, 1 skin disease (I don’t think it’s contagious…)

Time it Takes to Float 4km Down the Vang Vieng: 4 hours to multiple days depending how much you stop to drink

Cost for a Half Day Rock Climbing with Lesson and Gear: $16

Cost of a Tuk-tuk in Vientianne: More per km than it would cost in Manhattan.  They’d rather sit in the sun and visit than take a fare!

Best Place in the World to Stock up on Havaiana Flip Flops: Vang Vieng…they look as real as they need to for $2.

Thing We Missed in Luang Prabang: Drinking at Utopia then going to the bowling alley…happens after our bed time!

Definite First: Monks taking pictures of US while we walked down the street in Luang Prabang
